Let’s have a a sleepless night in Paris, on October the 6th !
This night, you'll walk from west to East of the city to discover the work of young French artists.
From poetic diversion to disturbing activism, each of them will play her/his own piece in the urban space.

Insomniacs will probably attend all the concerts, exhibits, performances of the Nuit Blanche project. The others will have a
walk not far from home. If you stay in Paris this night, in or not far from our hotels of the 16
th district, we suggested you a
small rather nice promenade which will lead you from the Trocadéro in Concorde, passing the Seine banks.

« The Clock » is a cinematographic clock compound of thousand extracts of movies and famous series drawn from all the cinema history.
Plans of clocks, alarms, watches, and action scenes or dialogues indicate the real hour as.an exploration of the illusory nature of time.

2. Marie-Ange Guilleminot / Musée Guimet

Visitors are invited to realize "Tsuru" (origami foldings) based on the work of Marie - angel Guilleminot. These foldings are then assembled in garlands then sent in Hiroshima and puted down to the the Monument of the Peace of the children.

3. Martin Von Frantzius and Pia Maria Martin / Goethe-Institut

This interactive installation allows the visitor to take out the numerous audiovisual archives accumulated in Goethe-Institut since the 70’s. The introduction of a person in the device activates the broadcasting of an audio archive which interacts with movements.

Numerous worn out shoes and deformed objects, some of them threadbare, gathered in a large and impeccable gradation from black to the white.
This pallet of worn then discarded objects boosts the imagination.

Along the Seine riverbanks

For several kilometers along the banks of the Seine, “Paris à l’infini (dance)” by Julie Desprairies, as if it were the backbone of Nuit Blanche, pays a vibrant tribute to the driving forces of the city. At regular intervals, City of Paris volunteers dance their own choreography to represent a segment of landscape and impersonate the monuments, buildings and urban landscapes.

To be seen from : the Trocadéro esplanade,
from 7pm till 11.10 pm : 5 10 mn shows each hour at 7 pm, 8 pm, 9 pm, 10 pm and 11 pm.

On the Seine river Group F’s pyrotechnic display randomly drifts with the stream and illuminates the landscapes it explores..
