A beautiful exhibition dedicated to an extraordinary empress.

On the occasion of the bicentenary of his death, the exhibition brings together personal memories and major works from prestigious art collections of the Empress Josephine. From her Creole origins to her marriage to Napoleon Bonaparte, and from her role as sovereign to her life after their divorce, the exhibition invites us to experience Josephine's world and discover the vital role she played in the establishment of a certain style during the consular and imperial era.

The exhibition shows Josephine as a modern woman, passionate about traveling, music and gardens, a woman who even today represents a woman who took her destiny in her own hands within a changing society.
